My Style: Target Shoe Haul

Saturday, April 12, 2014

Did you miss me? How is everyone?! I am very sorry that I have not been keeping my blog up to date!

Life is way too busy and I just don't have the free time like I used to. Which is good I guess? Right now I am working full-time and I'm coaching girls lacrosse. I don't get home until 7p.m. on a good night and then my first priority is to feed my face and get to bed.

Anyway, today I found some time to show you some shoes I have been hoarding from Target! I bought two pairs today and the others I've purchased over the span of two months. I haven't worn any of them yet. But with the temperature warming up I better get a pedi stat so I can rock these sandals!

Let's get started. First of all, all the shoes are from Target! I used to be a Steve Madden snob when it came to nice flippy flops. However, I have moved on and realize that Target has similar styles at a lower price point. Flip flops are not meant to last a lifetime. It's easier to throw away a $30 pair vs. $60 pair.

Mossimo Supply Co. Stephanie Gladiator Sandal - Brown

Who doesn't love a great gladiator sandal? I'm 98% sure that Target sold this style sandal last year. I missed out on them and so I was so excited to see them out on the shelves again this year! I went with brown but they also come in "pewter"which is metallic silver and black. For size, I went a 1/2 size larger (8.5). I wanted them for my long maxi skirts to give a more bohemian vibe. These will do the trick nicely and at $19.99 they are a steal!

Sam & Libby Ainsley Sandal - Natural
I'm a little taller than average so I don't really like to wear sky high shoes and tower over people. Especially, being single, I like to make sure my date doesn't feel insecure about their height. Anyway, when I saw these low wedged gladiators I knew I had to have them. This style also comes in black which is originally want I wanted however, they were out of my size online so I went with the natural. I went with a size 8 and they fit perfectly. At $29.99, I should have just bought both!

Mossimo Avery Sandal - Bone
I bought these online with the Ainsley. I think it was a BOGO deal or something (sorry didn't save the receipt!). These remind me very much of a Steve Madden flip flop but $40 cheaper! What drew me to them was the metal accents at the top. I decided to go with the "bone" color because I don't own any white sandals. They will go with everything so my options are endless. Hopefully, I can keep the clean all Summer long. These are $19.99 and they come in black and cognac. For size reference, I went a 1/2 size larger (8.5) than regular.

Sam & Libby Chelsea Bow Genuine Leather Flat - Cherry
I saw these shoes last weekend in store but at the moment I wasn't feeling well and just couldn't make up my mind on getting them or not. This weekend, I took two Tory Burch flats to be re-soled and I realized I didn't have as many flats to wear to work without them. I quickly ran into the nearest Target and remembered these beauties! They are super padded on the bottom and should be really comfortable for long work days. These come in many different colors from your neutrals to bold colors and even metallics. They fit true to size and so I purchased the 8. They were $29.99 but are currently on sale online!

Merona Peyton Sling Back Kitten Heel Pump - Ivory
While at Target today, I turned around and my eyes met these shoes! I have a work event Monday morning and I already picked out the dress I'm going to wear but didn't have the right shoes, until now! I love the kitten heel because it gives just the right amount of lift but will be comfortable for all day wear. The color and patent leather scream Spring! They fit true to size so I bought the 8. They were $29.99 and come in grey and black.

That's it for my shoe haul! I hope you enjoyed browsing and found something you like! Better hurry if you do like something because, boy, do the Target shoe shelves clear out fast! Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and I hope to have another blog up sooner rather than later!
