Rave & Review: Vitacost Haul #3

Saturday, December 27, 2014

Hi friends! I hope you all had the happiest of Holidays, whatever you celebrate! I must have been a good little girl this year because Santa brought me the Kate Spade iPad Air glitter case I wanted. That's all I really asked for this year but naturally there was more under the tree. Anyway, let's talk about Vitacost! Vitacost to be is like Christmas on a regular day!
I buy enough products so that my shipping is always free and then I forget what I order. When the package arrives it's like Christmas morning wondering what could be in the box! I got this haul awhile ago and so I'm just about through with all of these products and it's time to place another order! If you haven't tried Vitacost yet, use my referral and get $10 off your first $30 purchase! On to the goods...

Effortlessly Host a Stella & Dot Trunk Show

Saturday, December 13, 2014

I've had this blog for almost two years now and by far the most popular post is the one about hosing a Stella & Dot party. Which I'm proud of because I know when I hosted my first one I had no clue what I was getting into. There were not blog post out there for me to read up on.

I'm now an old pro and them. I just had my third annual Stella & Dot trunk show at the end of November. If you're interested in buying any of the products my online trunk show is still running so feel free to make a purchase for yourself or a friend!

Since I've been doing these trunk shows for awhile now I'm back to share some more helpful hints!

My Style: One Big A$$ Target Haul

Saturday, December 6, 2014

I started my new job this week!! I'm very excited for the opportunity because I am following my passion of marketing. I started taking classes at NYU not knowing if I'd like it. Only to find that I love it! In marketing, no two days are the same which is a refreshing change from my old job! I applied for my degree candidacy (only 2 more classes to go!!) a few weeks ago and will register for my fourth class any day now! Who would have thought all these great things were lining up for me?

Ok, enough of the jibber jabber. Let's get on with this Target haul! I have been hoarding things for months so I apologize if some of the items are no longer available. I've been so thrilled with the selection at Target during this season. I love all of the trendy long sleeve tops and even dresses. Soon it will be time to buy some nice thick sweaters.
Cutest cat in America, right?
Speaking of sweaters... even my cat, Lucifer, got something out of this Target haul! I found pet sweaters in the Dollar Spot at Target! Best part is a portion of the proceeds went to the ASPCA! How freakin' cute is he?

Rave & Review: BOOROO Nancy Boots

Saturday, November 29, 2014

Hey friends! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends, family or both! I know I enjoyed the downtime before I start my new job. Even though the majority of my family is close by we don't always have the opportunity to get together. I have two little cousins and I enjoy spending time with them the most because for little kids they have a pretty good sense of humor. My sister wasn't able to come home this year which was sad but I know I'll be out to see her soon.

Usually, we go around the dinner table and talk about what we are thankful this year. I have a lot to be thankful for this year with a new job on the horizon and my dedicated friends like you who read Haute in Hell! I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I never thought anyone would read this blog. I thought that it would be like an online diary for myself. It means a lot to me that people from all over the world read my blog and tell others about it. Thanks to your support I will continue to blog away until I know longer shop...HAHA like that will ever happen!

Rave & Review: Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Saturday, November 22, 2014

Hope everyone is doing well! I can't believe the holiday season is upon us! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it's when the majority of the family is together. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas, too, but more so for the decorating!

Anyway, I want to get into this review because I am absolutely in love with this product and can't believe I didn't look into this sooner!

My Third Stitch Fix!

Saturday, November 15, 2014

Hey everyone! I am so excited to share with you my third, and most successful, Stitch Fix! If you're unfamiliar with Stitch Fix be sure to check out my first fix so you can get the details and then check out my second fix to see more fashion!

I think I finally got a great Fix because I give feedback on the things I send back and the stylist even mentioned that she loved the pins on my Stitch Fix designated board. So definitely make sure you pin things you actually like and would wear because 4 out of the 5 items I got are off my Pinterest board. Let's get started!

Rave & Review: Vitacost Haul #2

Saturday, November 8, 2014

Hello, Hello, HELLO!! I am so sorry for my disappearance on this blog! Good news, my Marketing class is over for the semester (I GOT AN A!!) and so I have more time to devote to you! I just need time to get the blog idea out of my head and onto the blog, is there an app for that? I'm gonna have another Vitacost haul after this one, a BIG Target haul, a Stitch Fix review and MORE! Ok but let's start with the task at hand...

My Style: Stella & Dot Wish List

Sunday, October 12, 2014

Hey Friends! I know I have been MIA! Busy, busy with work and school. I only have a couple weeks left of my online class through NYU so I use every second I'm not working on my business plan for Revlon nail enamel! I am so glad I listened to the professor and chose something I love because it makes all the research fun. Sorta of...

Anyway, if you follow me on Twitter, you know I am hosting a Stella & Dot Trunk Show!! Hosting a Stella & Dot Trunk Show has become and annual event. I'm actually on my third one and it's always the same weekend, right after Thanksgiving! It gives my friends and family the time to shop for Christmas gifts to treat themselves! Obviously, we all live all over and you all can't come to my house so I created an online Trunk Show so you can get in the fun too! Shop with me by using this link!

2014 Fall Fashion Haul: Kohls, Old Navy & More!

Thursday, September 25, 2014

I can't believe we are officially in fall now! Where does the time go? Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The temperature is just right with the warm sun and a cool breeze. Time to pull out the leggings and riding boots! This haul is eclectic as I had coupons for some stores and I do like to add variety to my closet (I know it doesn't seem like it with all the Target and LOFT hauls). A lot of these outfits were worn prior to the first day of Fall but I still consider the clothing transitional or fall appropriate!

Let's get started!
Women's Stretch Pencil Skirt
I typically don't shop at Old Navy unless I have coupons. I just feel that the quality of clothing isn't great and why spend money if it only last me a season or two at most. I actually found the elastic waist pencil skirt first. These skirts are my new addiction and I currently own three of them (from various stores). They just fit me so well since they are stretchy material and are extremely comfortable and not as restricting as you'd think. I picked the skirt in bright red as I wanted something a little bold. I am wearing a XS and it fits perfectly.

Women's Patterned Sleeveless Shirt
Next, while I am pairing this outfit with a sleeveless blouse I know I will pair it with sweaters and long sleeve blouses to transition into fall. I found this blue and white striped blouse and thought it would look perfect with the bright red. I mean, you can't go wrong with a classic red, white and blue outfit! The blouse is comfortable and I can easily see myself wearing it underneath a blazer for fall. I am wearing a XS for reference.

Modern Skinny Corduroy Pants
I am in desperate need of pants. Because I am a new size than I was last year, all my fall/winter work pants are too big. I went to the LOFT to stock up but they didn't have any of the work pants I like in stock right now. I settled for this pair of cords. I LOVE cords for fall. They are comfortable, I can wear them to work and they are a great alternative to jeans for the weekends. These are the modern skinny so they fit snug all over and are great to tuck into boots! I was first drawn to the black pair until I saw how much lint it was attracting just hanging on the hanger. I decided to go with another neutral, tan. These pants fit true to size, I am wearing a 00.

Two-In-One Shirt
The top is a sweatshirt material, also very comfortable, with a tunic style length. It also has a faux button down chambray peaking out of the bottom and at the sleeves. I don't know what's gotten into me but I am starting to wear more stripes! Look out, I'm trying new things. This top comes in other combinations, too. My mom even got one! The top is rather loose fitting so I would have preferred and XXS but I don't think they make it in that size so I settled for the XS.

Mixed-Media Sweater - Heather Cream
I can't even tell you the last time I stepped foot in Kohls to buy clothing. When I shop at Kohls it's mostly for kitchen gadgets or for serving dishes/platters for entertaining friends. I have been sent multiple $10 off coupons in the mail and decided I would check out what Lauren Conrad is selling at Kohls. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection offered in store and picked up this fun top. I don't own anything like it. I love how it looks like a plain old t-shirt in the front but then the back opens to expose a chiffon layer. The top is on the see-through side so if I plan to wear it to work I will layer a camisole underneath. It's described as a sweater but it is not heavy or bulky and wears more like a t-shirt. I am wearing a XS.

Mixed-Media Sweater - Black

Again, Kohls is also calling this top a sweater but it is far too thin to be lumped in the sweater category. I would say it's more of a t-shirt style again. I absolutely feel in love with this top when I tired it on in store. This top comes in may colors but I found the black to be versatile for work as well as weekends. The sleeves and upper portion of the "sweater" are lace. For work, I had to layer a camisole underneath so I wasn't exposing so much skin. However, on the weekends, I will wear without a tank top to have more of the lace exposed. The "sweater" fits true to size, I am wearing a XS. It is longer in length and more of a tunic style.
Pleated Circle Skirt (pictured above)
I've seen this style skirt on various websites like jane.com but have never felt confident in purchasing from them. So when I saw this skirt at Target I pounced on it! This skirt is very stiff, so stiff in fact that it can stand on its own! I love the bold stripes and texture of the skirt. It's also very fun to wear with the pleats and the way it poufs out. I paired it with the black Kohls "sweater" for a nice work outfit. I've also paired it with a button down chambray shirt for another work appropriate outfit. The skirt has an elastic waist and I am wearing a Small as it's from Target's juniors line, Xhilaration.

Short Sleeve Crochet Top
I saw this top the same day I bought the circle skirt and new I had to pick it up before it sold out. The crochet top also comes in sleeveless but I opted for the short sleeves to again transition into the cooler fall temps. These pictures don't do the top justice as the sun was so bright that the crochet pattern on the top isn't showing up. Feel free to visit the link above to get a better view from Target's website. The top fits loose and is sheer so you must wear a camisole or bandeau underneath. I paired this cream top with my camo pants from the LOFT, as seen in this haul. This top is actually XS/S and is also from the brand Xhilaration.

Faux Leather Leggings
I have been in the market for faux leather leggings for a long time. When I saw these on Threadlust at such a low price I figured why not! Well, it turns out I should have shopped around. The stretch is good but they show everything so go with a seamless undergarment. My biggest complaint is that these go up so high! I am 5'6" and consider myself to be of average height and these leggings come up way past my belly button. I can only imagine how high they would come up on someone much shorter than me. I am wearing a size Small. I thought about returning them but I wouldn't get my shipping back, the charge you a restocking fee AND you have to pay to ship them back so I decided to keep them because it just wasn't worth sending them back. Had there been a more detailed discretion of how high these leggings come up I would have never purchased. Due to this negative experience, I am not sure I will repurchase from Threadlust.
I hope you have been inspired to expand your own fall wardrobe! If anyone wants to share the link to their hauls for fall fashion be sure to post them in the comments below or use the #hauteinhell on social media! I'd love to see what trends people are buying into this fall! Remember, you can always shop my closet on Poshmark as well!

Friday Fingers!: Revlon Nail Enamel - Teak Rose

Friday, September 19, 2014

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Was it just me or did this week seem to drag on? Anyway, it's the weekend and tomorrow will be another Saturday for me to do homework. It's always work, work, work for me. But this time in class we are working on research for our big project.

For the project, we have to pick a publicly traded company and pick one line of their products (if they have multiple product lines). She also suggested to make the research easy and fun to pick something you like. Well we all know I LOVE food but a lot of the products I love come from companies who are not public. Then I thought about another love of mine, NAIL POLISH!

Rave & Review: Vitacost Haul

Monday, September 15, 2014

Hey Friends! I meant to get this blog out sooner but things have been crazy busy! I'm taking an online class every Wednesday night this fall and so my weekends are consumed with reading and homework assignments. Not to mention I'm moving at the end of the month so every other spare moment is spent packing boxes.

Anyway, I made my first purchase with the online retailer, Vitacost! Vitacost offers top brands for vitamins/supplements, whole foods, health foods and sports nutrition at a discount. A lot of my fellow Tone It Up ladies have been curious about how I liked ordering with them and so I thought I would do a blog post explaining my experience! This is not a sponsored post, I paid for all of the products myself.

Happy Sunday Runday! I just got back from the gym working out with my Mom. Every Sunday, we meet up, work out and weigh in. The weekly weigh ins keep me on track and let me know where I need to improve for next week. Anyway, enough about fitness let's get down to the reason you're here, FOOD!

I think the number one common misconception of someone who lives a healthy lifestyle is that we miss out on junk food, sweet treats and that we starve ourselves. I'm here to show you that you can enjoy eat healthy, delicious, good for you food.

My Style: Fall 2014 Target Haul

Thursday, September 4, 2014

Hey everyone! Hope you are having a great week! This is the second week of school being back in session so things are hectic but fun at work! I love welcoming the new Freshmen to the high school! This week I have more fall fashion to show you! This time I'm showing you a haul from Target!

As most of you know, I live in Pennsylvania. Recently, Target opened the largest store on the east coast  only about 45 minutes away! Obviously, since I'm rather Target obsessed, I had to go check it out! I have to say it's a beautiful store but honestly there was nothing much different from your local Target. I was actually let down by the women's department and only left with two items. Sadly, I think the big focus was on the fresh grocery part of the store. Oh well! At least I can say I was there but I don't have any plans to go back.

Let's get started with the haul, shall we?

Hey Friends! Get ready to drool as I show you some delicious, easy, healthy meals to prepare during the week or entertaining for friends on the weekend! I recently saw the movie The Hundred-Foot Journey and left the theatre craving Indian food. I highly recommend the movie, it was charming and maybe you'll get inspired to get a little adventurous in the kitchen too!

I definitely came out of the movie inspired and created three fun recipes to spice up your weekly kitchen routine! I've got everything from pizza to side dish to main course. Let's get started!

My Style: Fall Friends & Family LOFT 2014 Haul

Saturday, August 23, 2014

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable Saturday! I was up early this morning and enjoyed a cup of herbal tea as I started on this blog with a light rain drizzling outside. It's afternoon now and it's still pretty cloudy so I might take a nap after I post this! I also made, for the first time, cinnamon apple chips and they made the house smell heavenly! Good things happen early in the morning!

Onto the goods. As you know by the title of this post I am here to share with you a recent haul I did at the LOFT. A.k.a. my go to store when looking to expand my wardrobe. Why? Because it's affordable and allows me to pay rent, bills, tuition and not be in debt! Yay!

The LOFT was having a Friends & Family deal a few weeks ago and that's when I scored all this stuff! Online it was 40% off and my store and to select customers was offering 40% plus an additional 15% if you spent over $150 (so easy to do!).

Anyway, I decided to go a little daring with my eye makeup today and wanted to share it with you! If you're following me on Instagram than you already know I have a Sephora haul post coming! In that haul I got a new eye palette and eye liner which I will be featuring in this eye makeup tutorial.

My Second Stitch Fix!

Monday, June 30, 2014

Hey everyone! Long time no post, I know! My life has been rather hectic at work and I just finished taking a summer session class at NYU. So any free time I have I usually spend it doing nothing and by nothing I mean laying out or watching parks and recreation on the treadmill.

Anyway, I finally have some down time and I wanted to share with you my second Stitch Fix! I am happy to report that this Stitch Fix was a success. If you don't remenmber how my first Fix went down you can review via the link. The cliff notes version: I was thoroughly disappointed and kept nothing. This time I'm happy to report that I kept some items!!

Beth Bakes: Easter Brunch

Saturday, April 19, 2014

Happy almost Easter, everyone! I wanted to post this recipe today in the hopes that you'll use it for your Easter entertaining! Easter is always a small occasion for my family, compared to Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year it will be my Mom, Dad, Nana and myself. We are just going to enjoy a nice ham my mother is preparing with some green bean and potato side dishes.

Everyone has different traditions at Easter. Some people make ham, others don't. Some families have dinner and others do brunch. There is no wrong way to celebrate a holiday. It all comes down to family preference or availability!
My Easter themed mantle
One thing that is a common theme during Easter are eggs. People use eggs for home decor during the holiday (can someone explain the idea of hanging eggs from trees?), we entertain kids/ourselves with decorating eggs and have Easter egg hunts.

Now, let's talk about eating eggs. Sure most of us use the hardboiled decorated eggs for eggs salads, deviled eggs or just eat them with a little pepper. What if you have leftover non-hardboiled eggs? Here's where I come in... make egg muffins!

My Style: Target Shoe Haul

Saturday, April 12, 2014

Did you miss me? How is everyone?! I am very sorry that I have not been keeping my blog up to date!

Life is way too busy and I just don't have the free time like I used to. Which is good I guess? Right now I am working full-time and I'm coaching girls lacrosse. I don't get home until 7p.m. on a good night and then my first priority is to feed my face and get to bed.

Anyway, today I found some time to show you some shoes I have been hoarding from Target! I bought two pairs today and the others I've purchased over the span of two months. I haven't worn any of them yet. But with the temperature warming up I better get a pedi stat so I can rock these sandals!

Let's get started. First of all, all the shoes are from Target! I used to be a Steve Madden snob when it came to nice flippy flops. However, I have moved on and realize that Target has similar styles at a lower price point. Flip flops are not meant to last a lifetime. It's easier to throw away a $30 pair vs. $60 pair.

Rave & Review: My Second Graze Subscription Box

Monday, February 24, 2014

Hey friends! Exciting news, today is the one year anniversary of the launch of Haute in Hell! I am so amazed that I've had over 16,000 hits in one year. My goal was to have 12,000 hits in one year and you've helped me exceed that goal! Stay tuned for this week's Friday Fingers! as I'll be doing a giveaway (US readers only) in honor of the one year anniversary! Thank you for continuing to be faithful readers of my blog.

I know I got a lot of people interested in graze the first time I wrote about it. I thought I'd come back on and show what I got in my second box. In case you missed my first post on graze and how it works you can catch up here

*The following review is my own opinion, I'm not paid by graze and I pay for my own boxes!*

Beth Bakes: Healthy Meals

Sunday, February 16, 2014

Hey everyone! I have a lot of exciting recipes that are both easy to make and healthy to indulge! For those of you that follow me on Instagram you'll notice a lot of my photos have hash tags like #loveyourbody and #tiuteam. That's because I've been following the Tone It Up nutrition plan and weekly schedules as a part of their Love Your Body Series. It's been an amazing lifestyle change for me and I am truly amazed that in 45 days I have the body I've always wanted.

[Side Note: I'd love to show pictures of my progress from doing the program but my job is very conservative and would not find photos of my abdomen appropriate. While I love my new body, it's not worth losing my awesome job! Hopefully, the next time I do a haul you'll be able to see definition in my arms and legs!]

Being on the Tone It Up nutrition plan, Katrina & Karena (your trainers) encourage you to eat lean, clean & green! Which is really easy to do! The following recipes are some of my own and some I have taken from my favorite food blogs! Enjoy and happy cooking!

Friday Fingers!: Wrapped in Rubies

Friday, February 14, 2014

Happy Valentine's Day & Friday! It's a super snowy Valentine's Day in PA. Be careful if you and your sweetie are going out to celebrate the "holiday." I personally have no plans to leave the house. I've got House of Cards and a box of Ladurée French macaroons to keep me happy. The only date I have is with the heating pad after all that shoveling!

Anyway, enough about the snow. I have been back logged with Friday Fingers! Ever since Santa gave me four nail polishes in my stocking I've been dying to try them out! I even painted my nails during the week, which is not like me. However, there isn't much to do when you're snowed in. Which has been almost a weekly event!

Today, I'm reviewing and swatching wrapped in rubies by essie. I thought it would be an appropriate color for those of you looking for the perfect Valentine's mani!

My Style: Valentine's Day Gifts

Wednesday, February 5, 2014

Hey friends! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while but I've been very busy with work. I come home with intentions to blog but after I make dinner I'm pretty much exhausted. This Sunday I had brought my computer to my parents' house where it's nice a quiet and I can accomplish a lot. However, their internet went down and I was unable to blog.

Enough of my excuses! Today I'm talking about Valentine's Day. I personally don't celebrate the holiday. I'm a firm believer in showing you care 365 and I'm not about PDA. However, I never say no to a gift so... twist my arm!

I've created a list of Dos & Don'ts in the gift giving department. I've created this list with mostly men in mind because they are clueless. Here it goes:

My Style: Moving Away Gift Idea

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Hey everyone! Anyone else stuck in doors with all this snow? I've had the past two days off from school but both days I got a quick workout in! I'm working on my 150 miles by Valentine's Day, it's a part of the Love Your Body Series from Tone It Up!

Enough about the cold weather! Let's talk about how my sister made the transition from East Coast to West Coast and is avoiding all this cold weather! The move happened right after Thanksgiving and so we celebrated Christmas before she left. I gave her this homemade craft that I'm going to share with all of you. She absolutely loved it and has used it frequently since her move out there!

You might feel cheap giving it to someone but don't. A lot of thought and time goes into this project and that's what makes it the most invaluable gift you can give! Let's get started!

Friday Fingers!: Birthday Manicure

Friday, January 17, 2014

It's finally here! It's FRIDAY! Even though I had a 2hr delay this week, it still felt like the longest week ever! Oh well it's over and I've got a fun weekend planned full of movie watching with a variety of friends. Finally seeing American Hustle tonight!

Enough about my weekend though. I know you really came by to see what I'm wearing on my finger nails! I actually wore this essie polish last weekend for my party at the lake house. This week I'm featuring essie's belugaria.

My Style: Stella & Dot Fall/Holiday 2013 Collection

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

Hey everyone! I'm back to blogging after a wonderful weekend away with friends and family to celebrate my birthday! I went to my all time favorite place, a private lake in Bushkill, PA. My birthday was actually yesterday (it should be illegal to work on your birthday). I felt so much love from friends, family and co-workers!

Friday Fingers!: Gold Glam & Accent Nail

Friday, January 10, 2014

Happy Friday!! Hope everyone survived their first full week back at work. I know it's always tough getting back into the swing of things. Especially if you're like me and were off for almost two weeks! Anyway, it's the weekend... let's stop talking about work!

I know we are past Christmas and NYE but I think you should be able to wear gold nails anytime of the year. I personally wore this during the weeks leading up to Christmas but you can always change the colors and make it appropriate for any season or occasion!

Rave & Review: Graze Box Subscription

Wednesday, January 8, 2014

Hello, hello! I'm so excited to talk to you about this subscription box! I'm not usually one to join subscription boxes because I think they are overly pricy for not knowing what kind of products you'll receive. I'm also not interested in creating a drawer full of samples, it's too hoarders for me. Subscription boxes range from home, beauty and fashion boxes but they also offer subscriptions for pets and eco-friendly products. Really, there is a box for everybody!

I found graze through my friend, Kelsey. She posted her first graze box on instagram and I wanted in! She gave me her friend code which allowed me to try my 1st box FREE and I'll also get my 5th box FREE too!

*The following review is my own opinion, I'm not paid by graze and I pay for my own boxes!*

Friday Fingers!: Tenoverten NYC Manicure

Friday, January 3, 2014

Santa was so good to me this year. He gave me four new nail polishes in my stocking! All essie colors, all stunning! I can't wait to show you them all in upcoming Friday Fingers! There should be no shortage of Friday Fingers! anytime soon because I still have nail polishes to show you that I bought before Christmas!

Sorry there was no Friday Fingers! last week but I was in NYC! You knew that if you follow me on Instagram and from Wednesday's post. However, just because I was in NYC doesn't mean I wasn't rocking a manicure! I actually wore bare nails at Christmas because I knew the next day I would be getting a manicure at tenoverten. I found this nail salon through the LOFT's Instagram account. Every once in awhile they have someone in the fashion community take over their account for the day. Well they had a NYCer take it over the one day and she went to tenoverten!

NYC: Holiday Overnight Trip

Wednesday, January 1, 2014

There is nothing better than spending time in NYC during the holidays! I love looking at the window displays in all the department stores and seeing the tree in Rockefeller Center. My mom knows how much I love the city so we went for a little overnight trip the day after Christmas.
